5dots has wanted to be a musician as long as he can remember.

Formerly collaborating with friends on genre-stretching, name-changing, balls-out goofy four-track recordings, and then working sincerely as a noise artist, 5dots now makes experimental music on a laptop. Not so experimental that you can't move to it,though.

He lives in Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington, DC, where he's lived his whole life.

al3x is the all-purpose handle of Adjective Records co-founder Alexander Payne. Known by a scant few in the DC/MD/VA experimental music scene, al3x was the host of 'Eclectic Electric,' a radio show on WMBC, and has been known to DJ in the area. He very, very occasionally makes music of his own, but is more likely to be seen collaborating, remixing, and spinning. He has a website as well, al3x.net on which you can find his thoughts about music and just about everything else.
