Adjective Records was founded in late 2002 by three music-loving friends from the Washington, DC metro area to bring the world experimental electronic sounds it didn't know it even wanted. We incorporated in early 2003 and now there's just no damn stopping us.

Brittany Martin, Craig Davis (aka 5dots), and Alexander Payne (aka al3x) all bring with them qualities that make Adjective not just another boutique label. Brittany has extensive campaign management experience, so we think she can handle running a record label. Alex has DJ'ed around the DC/Baltimore area for several years, developing a discriminating ear for unique sounds. And Craig, well, Craig just loves the freaky beats; you can catch him under his 5dots alias tearing up stages and iBooks all over the place. Brains, taste, and a passion for performance and musicianship. You know how we do.

So what's with the name? We wanted to reflect our commitment to putting out great music regardless of its genre, style, place of origin, fashion quota, tempo, chord progression, or any other arbitrary measure. We just release good music, and we always will. Call it what it you want. Call it [adjective]. Get us?
